Preparation before spraying
The spray gun and equipment should be clean and in normal working condition; check whether the nozzle is severely worn. If the nozzle is severely worn, paint will be wasted during the spraying process and the quality of the coating will be affected; then check whether the spray gun has the ideal spray pattern (the ideal spray should be symmetrical, evenly atomized, and have clear edges).
Spraying pressure
The minimum atomizing pressure required to achieve ideal liquid atomization is therefore the principle to be followed when adjusting the pressure: "the spray shape is good and the pressure is set correctly". The pressure should also be as low as possible. Excessive pressure will not improve the quality of the coating, but will only shorten the service life of the equipment, increase nozzle wear, and cause the paint to rebound, wasting paint and polluting the air.
Spraying tips
During the spraying process, the distance between the spray gun and the spraying surface should be kept constant as much as possible, and should not be too close. Choose a suitable distance according to the spraying effect.
- Ordinary air atomization: 15-20cm
- Airless atomization: 30-38cm
To obtain a moist, dark, thick coating, the spray gun can be closer;
To obtain a drier, lighter, thinner coating, the spray gun can be farther away
